Anne peeks at antiques

Director of the company and 20th Century Design and Glass Specialist Will Farmer met the mayor and showed her around the auction house ahead of auction day.

The mayor viewed paintings, glassware, furniture, art and pottery with a colourful collection of Clarice Cliff catching her eye and learnt about the bidding process and the behind the scenes work needed to keep everything running smoothly.

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Anne Millward, said:

It was absolutely fascinating to look at the range of art and antiques on display. There were so many beautiful pieces, I imagine bidders will be spoilt for choice. I was particularly taken with the stunning range of Clarice Cliff ceramics and vintage suitcases and was tempted to put in a bid myself.

I'd like to thank Will and the team at Fieldings for making me feel so welcome and for supporting the Mayoral Business Club which helps us to deliver community events across the borough for all our residents.
