Bistro set to open doors
Dudley Council’s cabinet member for regeneration has welcomed plans for a new Bistro to open this month as part of Dudley Town Hall’s refurbishment.
The new Brooke’s Bar and Bistro will be formally opened on 22 September by The Mayor of Dudley, with invited guests set to attend.
The bistro will allow show-goers to eat and drink before or after a performance as part of an all-round visitor experience. It will also be open during the day for visitors to the town centre and not just for those attending a performance.
Dudley Town Hall has had a revamp over the summer including re-decoration in the main auditorium, the existing bar and the Banqueting Suite, plus replacement of the stalls chairs and the refurbishment of the balcony seats.
Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:
I am so pleased Brooke’s Bar and Bistro is opening this month.
Whether people are visiting before a show at Dudley Town Hall, or are just in the town centre, the bistro offers a great place to eat and socialise.
It will be open six days of the week until 11pm, contributing to the local night time economy and playing a part in our regeneration programme for Dudley town centre.
Brooke's Bistro will be open 11.30am to 11pm, Tuesday to Saturday and 11.30am-9pm Sunday from 22 September.
It will be accessed off Priory Street using the Memorial Tower entrance, with plans to also create an outside seating area for continental style drinking and dining during the warmer months.
