Book sale at Stourbridge Library
Stourbridge Library will be hosting a week long book sale this month (February).
From Saturday 10 to Sunday 18 February the library will be selling a wide range of books, from children's classics, to whodunits to westerns to great romances. There's something for all tastes, including audiobooks and large print.
All proceeds will be invested back into the service.
The sale which takes place during half term also coincides with the libraries half term activities for children. These include Chinese New Year crafts, two games club sessions, story time, fantasy character drawing and sword making and a tiara craft.
Councillor Ian Bevan, cabinet member responsible for libraries, said:
Our libraries are always getting new stock in to keep up with customer tastes and demands which means we sometimes need to retire some of our older stock to make way for the new.
This is the perfect opportunity to snap up a quality book at a decent price while helping to invest in the library service.
Stephanie Rhoden, Dudley partnership manager at GLL, said:
We update our stock all the time, people can see the new titles we get in each month on the library website well as the popular Library App, and each library has a poster listing new titles which people can borrow there and then or reserve for collection at their local library.
This means we can sell off our older stock to help invest back into new titles for our borrowers.
