Budding young artists urged to enter drawing competition

Young people are being given the chance to win Amazon vouchers by taking part in a drawing competition.

The winning images will be used on Dudley Council’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer – an online one-stop shop website for children and young people with SEND and their families.

And the winners in each category will receive a £10 Amazon gift voucher.

Councillor Ruth Buttery, cabinet member for children’s services, said:

“The competition is open to all children and young people between the ages of five and 19, or up to 25 if you are a young person with SEND.

“All we are looking for is for entrants to draw or paint images – it must be their own original work – in one or more of the categories listed below.

“I hope we get lots of entries before the deadline next month, and want to wish everyone who takes part the very best of luck.”

The categories for submissions are Health; Social care; Early years (0-5); Early help; Education; Young person zone; Transport; Financial support; Information, advice and support; and Preparing for adulthood.

To enter, download and print the entry form at https://dudleyci.co.uk/news/local-offer-drawing-competition and draw your designs in the appropriate boxes.

Alternatively, you can draw designs on a blank piece of paper and include your name, address, age along with an email address and contact number for a parent or guardian. Entries can be emailed to lori.arthurs@dudley.gov.uk or by post to Lori Arthurs, Dudley Council Children’s Services, Corbyn Road, Dudley DY1 2JP.

The deadline for entries is January 31. The winning designs will feature on the Dudley Local Offer website in early 2024.
