Buildings go green to highlight charity

Two landmark buildings in Dudley borough will be ‘going green’ to celebrate the work of first aid charity St John Ambulance.

Dudley Council House and Stourbridge Town Hall will be lit up on Thursday night (June 24) which is St John’s Day.

The day aims to highlight the work of the life-saving charity which includes supporting on the NHS Covid vaccination programme, responding to the pandemic. The charity is also starting to return to event duties and providing first aid training.

Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said:

St John Ambulance does an incredible amount of work saving lives and we were only too happy to play our part to highlight their vital work.
Dudley Council House and Stourbridge Town Hall will be lit up overnight as a reminder of the work they do.

St John Ambulance has also launched a new campaign, Ask Me which focuses on stories that tell of the lives saved and positively changed by first aid and St John.
