Carers Week 6 - 12 June 2022

Information sessions, mini manicures, balloon modelling, garden parties and a trip to Stratford are all on offer as part of this year’s National Carer’s Week.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

National Carers Week is being held 6 to 12 June this year and Dudley Carers Hub is coming together to make caring Visible, Valued and Supported and so is holding a whole range of events and activities to mark this.

Through a partnership with Mobilise, those carers who cannot attend the activities can access daily virtual Carers Week Cuppas, which will offer a range of support and activities online.  For more information visit https://www.mobiliseonline.co.uk/cuppa-timetable

Councillor Natalie Neale, cabinet member for adult social care, said:
Our carers provide dedicated, unwavering and often unrecognised support to their loved ones. This year’s theme of making them visible, valued and supported aims to address this imbalance.
Our carers hubs provide year-round support for carers, we hope that with these extra events we can provide some respite and fun to those who already use our services, as well as perhaps encouraging those who have never used our support network to come along, share their experiences, make connections and have some well-deserved downtime
