Carols at the Cone

The festive season is arriving early at the Red House Glass Cone as it welcomes a weekend of Christmas carolling later this month.

The Dudley Council-run venue will host the fabulous Strictly Bueno who will be singing all the classic Christmas carols in the attraction’s courtyard from noon to 3.30pm on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November.

The event is free to attend and there is no need to book in advance.

During their visit, people can also browse the cone’s gift shop for unique Christmas presents including glassware, jewellery, toys and homewares.

Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:

The Red House Glass Cone is the perfect destination to enjoy an afternoon of carols and festive cheer.
Strictly Bueno have performed at the cone before and were a great hit, and they have promised to deliver a mixture of popular Christmas songs, old favourites and carols. Visitors are welcome to join in too.

The canal side visitor attraction is open 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 11am to 4pm at weekends.

The visitor centre, shop, upstairs gallery, indoor exhibition spaces, studios and Red Cone Coffee House are now fully open. The cone and hot glass studio are currently closed for building work.

The number of visitors within the visitor centre is limited.

People are advised to keep an eye on the cone’s Facebook page (@redhousecone) to see what craft and activity sessions are taking place on the run up to Christmas (and beyond).
