Children’s play area in Stourbridge to be upgraded
A play area in Greenfield Gardens is set for an exciting £33,000 upgrade, with new and inclusive play equipment being installed this spring.
The Friends of Greenfield Gardens are working with Dudley Council on the project, after receiving a grant for £32,900 from Enovert.
Located near Greenfield Primary School, it will provide a more creative and engaging environment for little ones including a wider range of facilities for children with disabilities.
Funding from John Porter Community Fund, Geoff Hill Community Fund, Stourbridge Rotary and the local community have also supported the project.
Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said:
"This project is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when community and partners work together.
“The new equipment will make Greenfield Gardens a more inclusive and exciting space for local families, and we’re very grateful to Enovert and the Friends group for their commitment to improving our parks."
