Council launches Child Friendly Dudley
Dudley Council is launching a new initiative that promises to put children and young people at the front and centre of everything it does.
The authority’s cabinet is expected to back the Child Friendly Dudley project this week.
It will see the council working closely with partners, stakeholders, community groups, schools and residents to make positive changes for Dudley borough children.
Similar initiatives have been used in other towns and cities in the UK and Dudley Council is currently asking people what Child Friendly Dudley will mean to them.
Through the online survey, people can have their say on how they think the programme could best serve children and young people by visiting www.dudley.gov.uk/childfriendlydudley
Residents, businesses and organisations in the borough are also being invited to make their very own Child Friendly Dudley pledge online on the same survey.

Child Friendly Dudley is all about bringing the whole community together to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people in Dudley borough.
We are hugely grateful for the incredible work of businesses, community and faith groups, charities and individuals who have done so much great work before and during the pandemic.
Together we will put the voices of the next generation at the heart of everything we do and we want to hear from residents, children and the local community on what a Child Friendly Dudley means to them.
We are also hoping everyone can join us in making a pledge to do their part in building a brighter future. Actions big and small will make all the difference.
Cabinet is expected to approve Child Friendly Dudley on 21 July. People have until Friday 10 September to take part in the short survey.
