Council to consult on traffic regulation orders
Dudley Council is inviting people to have their say on proposed new Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs).
TROs cover a variety of traffic enforcement and safety measures, with the local authority typically implementing in excess of 40 such orders each year.
Suggested measures include deterring school and college visitors from parking on Whittingham Road in Halesowen and preventing long-stay parking on Pearce Close, Overfield Road, Middlepark Road and The Oval from those visiting Russell’s Hall Hospital.
Proposals for Benjamin Drive, Slade Road, Homer Hill Road, Ormonde Close and Park Road and several other locations across the borough are also included.
Councillor Shaz Saleem, cabinet member for public realm, said:
Borough residents and road users are great at letting us know some of the problems they face with traffic and parking issues in their area.
I would like to thank everyone who has brought things to our attention this year and I’m asking people to get online and look at the proposals for next year. The more feedback we can get the better.

The consultation runs until the end of the month with decisions to be made later this year.
