Couple win free wedding at Priory Hall open day
One lucky couple will be tying the knot at Priory Hall next year after winning a free wedding ceremony.
Every couple who attended the recent open day held at the Dudley Council-run venue was given the opportunity to enter a free prize draw.
Tara Moore and Luke Shaw from Upper Gornal were randomly chosen by the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Hilary Bills, who drew their name out of the hat.
Tara, 26, a medical secretary at Russells Hall Hospital, will be marrying landscape gardener Luke, 29, in the grade II listed building next year.
The couple have been together for nearly eight years after being introduced by friends.
Tara said:
“We had left the open day by the time the draw was made, so we were very shocked when we got the call to say we had won!
“We are over the moon and extremely grateful - thanks to the team for hosting a great event and giving everyone the opportunity to enter.”
Councillor Hilary Bills, Mayor of Dudley, said:
“It was my pleasure to attend the open day and meet many of the happy couples who were looking at Priory Hall as a potential venue for their forthcoming nuptials.
“Congratulations to Tara and Luke for winning the free ceremony. I wish them all the very best for their wedding and life together.”
