Mayor of Dudley with wedding prize draw winners

Couple win free wedding at Thomas Robinson Building

One lucky couple are celebrating after winning a free wedding ceremony at the Thomas Robinson Building in Stourbridge as part of a recent open day.

Abbi Slaney and Michael Malone’s names were pulled from the hat by the Mayor of Dudley live on Facebook during the wedding fair held at the venue earlier this month.

The couple, who live in Birmingham, will be marrying at the historic Grade II listed building in January.

Councillor Andrea Goddard, the Mayor of Dudley, said:

I’m thrilled for Abbi and Michael and I hope they have an amazing wedding day.

The Thomas Robinson Building is a wonderful venue with a rich history and it was great to see so many people in attendance at the wedding fair.

Abbi Slaney and Michael Malone, the prize draw winners, said:

We were very surprised and delighted to win the open day draw. Thank you to the Dudley registration services team.

We’re very happy and we’re looking forward to our upcoming ceremony at the Thomas Robinson Building.

The Dudley Council-run wedding venues at the Thomas Robinson Building and Priory Hall host open days once a year, showcasing the many services on offer including cars, floristry, gifts, and other extras.

Priory Hall will host the next open day on Saturday 16 March, giving another couple a chance to win a free ceremony.
