Covid-19 emergency grant to support residents
Residents who are struggling to afford food and essentials are reminded support is available through a COVID-19 emergency assistance grant.
Grants of up to £300 can be applied for from Dudley Council’s Emergency Assistance Grant for Food and Essential Supplies.
The temporary scheme supports people who are struggling to afford food and other essentials due to financial hardship or hardship caused by Covid-19.
The maximum amount awarded is £300, dependent on need and circumstances and applicants must live in the Dudley borough.
Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said:
We know many households are facing real financial difficulty during this pandemic and we continue to do all we can to support them.
I would urge anyone who is struggling to buy food and essentials to apply to us for this grant.
People can find more details of the grant and how to apply online at the council's website.
Those unable to apply online can contact the Covid-19 emergency assistance team on 0300 5552345 Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm or email LWA@dudley.gov.uk
