Covid-19 support line is reinstated
A Dudley borough helpline offering advice and support to people affected by the coronavirus outbreak has been reinstated.
Dudley Council is working with Dudley Council for Voluntary Services (DCVS), Citizens Advice Dudley and the Black Country Foodbank to offer the service.
Callers will be able to get information, advice and support to ensure they can get essential food and medication, welfare, benefits and debt support services.
The service is available for those who are self-isolating, may be feeling lonely or isolates, are unable to leave their home, or struggling financially due to the pandemic.
People can call 0300 3302 152 from Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said:
Working together with our partners we have reinstated the Covid-19 support line to help people during the lockdown and beyond.
By calling this helpline, families and individuals will be able to get the advice and support they need as well as help with essential food supplies.
We continue to work together as a community in the fight against Coronavirus and I would take this chance to remind everyone that they can play their part in stopping the spread by continuing to follow government instructions.
