Cradley says no to parish council - report
Residents in Cradley have voted against setting up a parish council following a feasibility study.
The study, which asked residents if they would be in favour or not, ran throughout September and October and attracted 1,269 responses.
Of those, 1,045 – 82.6 per cent – voted no. There were 217 – 17.2 per cent – who said yes, with 3 (0.2%) saying they were unsure.
Balvinder Heran, chief executive of Dudley Council, said:
“I would like to thank everyone who took part in the feasibility study.
“The results will be reported back to full council at its next meeting on December 1.”
The meeting takes place from 6pm in the council chamber at Dudley Council House and members of the public are welcome to attend.
