Date for autumn forums
Residents are invited to the autumn round of community events to meet with local councillors and the police.
Dudley Council will host five ‘your home, your forums’ covering all wards in the borough during October. The forums run from 6.30 to 8.30pm.
The forums are informal, giving people the opportunity to have their say and discuss what is good about their local area and what can be made better.
Local councillors and a police representative will also be there for residents to talk to.
The Dudley meeting will be held on October 7 at The Savoy Centre, Northfield Road, Netherton.
People living in Castle and Priory, St James’s, St Thomas’s, Netherton and Holly Hall, Quarry Bank and Dudley Wood are welcome to attend.
The Brierley Hill meeting will be held on October 9 at Brierley Hill Methodist Church, 24 Bank Street. This is for people living in Brierley Hill, Brockmoor, Pensnett, Wall Heath, Kingswinford and Wordsley.
The Dudley North meeting will be held October 24 at Lower Gornal Royal British Legion, Ruiton Street, Dudley.
The Dudley North meeting is for anyone living in the Coseley, Sedgley, Gornal, Upper Gornal and Woodsetton wards.
On October 28, people living in Belle Vale, Hayley Green, Halesowen, Cradley and Wollescote are invited to the Halesowen meeting at Halesowen Town Hall, 10 Hagley Street, Halesowen.
On October 30, the Stourbridge meeting for people in Amblecote, Lye, Stourbridge North, Norton, Pedmore, Stourbridge East, Wollaston and Stourbridge Town will be held at Wollaston Village Hall, Bridgnorth Road, Wollaston, Stourbridge.
Councillor James Clinton, cabinet member responsible for the community meetings, said:
This is the first time residents will have had the opportunity to come along to a forum and meet with councillors who were elected in May.
As councillors and as a council, it’s really important we get to know our residents and learn more about the issues and ideas at the heart of our communities.
We would love to see as many people at the meetings as possible.
