Dates confirmed for forums
People can get involved in their local area and meet with local councillors and the police when they attend the next round of community meetings.
Last year, Dudley Council relaunched its new look community meetings under the header of Your Home, Your Forum.
The next round of forums starts on Monday February 20 for the Dudley and Stourbridge areas.
The Dudley meeting will be held at Dudley College of Technology on the Broadway and the Stourbridge meeting will be held at Pedmore High School.
The Brierley Hill forum will be on Wednesday February 22 at Wall Heath Evangelical Free Church on Enville Road followed by the Dudley North meeting on Wednesday March 1 at Sedgley Community Centre, Ladies Walk. The Halesowen meeting has been postponed.
The forums will be informal, giving people the opportunity to have their say and discuss what is good about their local area and what can be made better.
Local councillors and a police representative will also be there for residents to talk to.
People attending the forums will also be able to find out about funding available to groups and organisations.
Councillor Ian Bevan, cabinet member for public health, said:
We were really pleased with the turnout at the last meetings, particularly as we hadn’t been able to get people together face-to-face since the pandemic struck.
It’s clear lots of people care about where they live and are passionate about making a difference. We want to harness this and work with local people to make a difference.
Everyone is welcome. I’d urge anyone interested to register their attendance now.
All meetings run from 6.30 to 8.30pm.
People should register their attendance in advance, further details are available at - https://www.dudley.gov.uk/council-community/your-home-your-forum/
