Dates for February forums

Dates for the next round of community meetings have been confirmed, giving local people the opportunity to meet their local councillor.

Dudley Council will host five ‘your home, your forums’ covering all wards in the borough during February. The forums run from 6.30 to 8.30pm.

The forums are informal, giving people the opportunity to have their say and discuss what is good about their local area and what can be made better.

Local councillors and a police representative will also be there for residents to talk to.

The Dudley North meeting will be held on February 7 at Sedgley Community Centre, Ladies Walk, Sedgley, Dudley, DY3 3UA.

The Dudley North meeting is for anyone living in the Coseley East, Sedgley, Gornal, Upper Gornal and Woodsetton wards.

The Dudley meeting will be held on February 21 at Wellington Road Community Centre. People living in Castle and Priory, St James’s, St Thomas’s, Netherton, Woodside, St Andrews, Quarry Bank and Dudley Wood are welcome to attend.

Also being held on February 21 is the Stourbridge meeting for people in Amblecote, Lye, Stourbridge North, Norton, Pedmore, Stourbridge East, Wollaston and Stourbridge Town. It will be held at Gigmill Primary School.

On February 28, people living in Belle Vale, Hayley Green, Halesowen, Cradley and Wollescote are invited to the Halesowen meeting in the seminar room at Halesowen College.

The Brierley Hill meeting will also be held on February 28 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Kingswinford. This is for people living in Brierley Hill, Brockmoor, Pensnett, Wall Heath, Kingswinford and Wordsley.

Councillor Ian Bevan, cabinet member responsible for the community meetings, said:

We hold these meetings regularly to give local people an opportunity to meet with their elected representatives to discuss what matters to them most in their local area.

I’d urge people to spare a couple of hours and pop along to their local meeting.
