Dom Joly bringing Trigger Happy anniversary show to Dudley

Dom Joly is to bring a 25th anniversary celebration of his hidden camera cult show Trigger Happy TV to Dudley later this year, it was revealed today.

The comedian will be bringing his most iconic characters and sketches – including the giant mobile phone - to the stage at Dudley Town Hall on Friday November 20.

It comes as borough halls bosses also announced indie frontman Martin Rossiter would be bringing his show Gene, Britpop and Me to Stourbridge Town Hall on Thursday November 19.

Tickets are on sale for both shows now, and are expected to go quickly.

Rupert Knowlden, venue manager for Dudley Borough Halls, said:

“We are delighted to be welcoming Dom and Martin to the halls for two shows which I am sure will prove very popular with their fans.

“They will offer an intimate and behind the scenes look at a cult TV show and huge and iconic era for British music.

“I expect tickets will be snapped up quickly, so I would urge people to get in now to avoid disappointment.”

The shows are one of a number that are on at the halls in the coming months.

Lucy Spraggan is at Stourbridge Town Hall on Tuesday May 19, while the Dudley Comedy All Stars returns to Dudley Town Hall on Saturday July 25.

Tracy Borman OBE brings Tudors on Tour to Stourbridge Town Hall on Saturday October 3.

And the first ever winner of Britain’s Got Talent, Paul Potts, joins The Opera Boys at Stourbridge Town Hall on Saturday October 10.
