Dudley Council plans public consultation on A456 improvement proposals
Residents, businesses, and stakeholders will have the opportunity to help shape proposals to improve transport connectivity, reliability and road safety along the A456 corridor when Dudley Council launches a public consultation next month.
The proposals focus on Manor Way between Grange Road and Manor Lane, where local councillors have met with council officers and consultants to consider options for improving traffic flow and road safety.
Three options have been discussed, including traffic signals, bus priority measures and other improvements designed to improve traffic movement while enhancing safety.
Councillor Simon Phipps, Dudley Council's cabinet member for economy and infrastructure, said:
“These proposals have the potential to bring significant benefits for people travelling through this important corridor. We are keen to hear the views of residents, businesses and stakeholders, and I would encourage everyone to take part in the consultation when it launches in mid-October.”
Further details on the consultation, including how people can take part, will be announced nearer the launch date.
