Dudley Pride announces line up including headline act

BBC’s RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series two winner, Tia Kofi will headline Dudley Pride next month.

Dudley’s Stone Street Square will once again be the centre of the town’s Dudley Pride, sponsored by Haystoun, and everyone is welcome. The event will bring joy and lots of fun on Saturday 18 July with a full line up of performances and street stalls.

Tia Kofi is one of the hottest LGBTQ+ artists currently rising from the UK. Tia is a talented singer and songwriter and producer who found a new audience of adoring fans appearing on the BBC’s RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. One of the major breakout stars of the season, she was a firm fan favourite from the start.

The free event will start with DJ Porky at 1pm on stage under a large marquee and continue throughout the afternoon to include powerhouse drag queen Trixie Lee and a set from Word of Mouth events DJ, James Wommersly.

This year will also welcome back some popular artists from last year including crowd favourite Karl M with Best of the Boybands anthems and Bedazzle from Priory House will return with showstopping songs from WMYT West Midlands Youth Theatre and queer, riot girrrl band Temper Tantrum. The music and fun will conclude at 8pm following the headline act, Tia Kofi.

As well as the stage area there will be over 30 stall holders including crafts and food options, as well as facepainting, glitter tattoos and street entertainers. Full details of the event including all timings are on the Dudley Pride website www.dudleypride.org.uk
