Dudley residents renewing green waste service
People who live in Dudley borough will be able to sign up for a new green bin service from next week.
The price for fortnightly green bin pick-ups remains frozen at £52, with the service running from April 2026 to the end of March 2027.
Residents will able book online via MyDudley or by calling Dudley Council Plus on 0300 555 2345 from Monday 16 March.
People can book or renew a subscription on someone else’s behalf without that person needing to set up a MyDudley account themselves.
Neighbours can also opt to share a bin, which will only be charged to one resident and collected from that property.
If residents choose not to opt in no action will be required, but they will not receive garden waste collections.
Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for highways and environmental services, said:
“As spring rolls around, we know people are looking forward to getting back into their gardens.
“Residents are being reminded that they’ll need to subscribe to the 2026/27 green waste collection service, if they want to have garden waste collected directly from their home.
“The service runs from 1 April, and we have frozen the cost for this service at £52 per year. This is spread over 50 weeks, giving residents 25 collections and working out at £1 a week.”
People are reminded that the garden waste service is suspended for two weeks over Christmas.
