Easter family fun at DB Leisure

There’s no need for youngsters to be bored over the holidays with lots of fun to be had at Dudley borough leisure centres this Easter.

Duncan Edwards, Crystal and Halesowen leisure centres and The Dell Stadium have plenty of activities to entertain the kids, including a new family water disco, free swimming, £1 football sessions, and new soft play areas.

All Dudley borough residents aged 16 and under can enjoy free swimming at the three leisure centres from Saturday 1 April to Sunday 16 April inclusive. Young people must be supervised by a responsible adult aged 18 or over, and those who have not previously registered must do so in advance of their visit. Numbers are limited and entry will be on a first come first served basis, more information is online at www.freeswimindudley.co.uk

Crystal will be offering families the chance to attend a later family swimming session on Tuesday 4 and 11 April, from 5 to 8pm. There will be fun float sessions on Saturday 8 and 15 April from noon to 1pm at Duncan Edwards.

Family fun disability swims will be held at Duncan Edwards on Wednesday 5 and 12 April from 3.10 to 5pm, at Crystal Leisure Centre on Friday 7 and 14 April from 2 to 4pm, and at Halesowen Leisure Centre on Saturday 1, 8 and 15 April from 2.30 to 3.45pm. Under 16s can utilise the free-swimming offer for these sessions.

Crystal Leisure Centre has a brand-new family disco starting on Friday 14 April from 6 to 8pm. Waikiki Waves takes place in the leisure pool with music from a DJ and Body boards provided at no extra cost. Options+ discount and free swimming is not included in this session.

Children aged five to ten years can enjoy an Easter themed arts and crafts session at Crystal on Wednesday 5 April, 1.30 to 3pm. Sessions cost £6 per child and prebooking is required.

At the Dell Stadium, children aged eight and over can enjoy a weekday kickabout on the 3G football pitch for £1 for under 16s and £2 for over 16s. Appropriate football boots must be worn, and youngsters are asked to bring their own balls. Opening times vary and people are encouraged to check online in advance. The stadium is closed on Friday 7 April and Monday 10 April

Table-tennis and badminton is available at Duncan Edwards and Crystal during the holidays for children aged eight years and above, with equipment available to hire.

The new Planet Play areas at Duncan Edwards and Halesowen will offer soft play for children up to the age of 11. Crystal’s soft play facility will also be open for children aged seven and under. Parents are advised to call ahead to check opening times and availability.
