Families go all out for Under 5s Day

Young children and their families have enjoyed a fun-filled day out with the Under 5s Day at Himley Hall and Park today.

The sell-out Dudley Council event welcomed more than 4,600 people to the park, where JJ and Cody from the popular TV show CoComelon made personal appearances at throughout the day.

Run in association with Del Bosque, it was jam-packed with entertainment specifically designed for children under 5 years old.

The day’s activities ran from 10am to 3pm and included a small petting zoo, the Air Ambulance helipod, Dudley Zoo Pop Up, Punch and Judy shows, Lego for younger children, a funfair, sandpit, and interactive singing and dancing on the main stage.

Free taster sessions were also available from Little Kickers Football, Splish and Splosh Messy Play, Junior Einsteins, Messy Monkeys, Pop-up Play Village, Tumble Tots, NN Dance, the council’s road safety team, and more.

Councillor Pete Lee, deputy mayor, said:

Under 5s Day is a lovely event and it was great to see so many families enjoying the fun and activities today.
Dudley Council runs a number of fantastic community events, and we are now looking forward to welcoming people back to the park for Armed Forces Day on Sunday.
Under 5s Day was sponsored by Del Bosque and Jewson.
