Final countdown for Himley Fireworks
People still have time to grab their tickets for Himley Hall and Park’s Fireworks show, which takes place on Saturday 2 November.
The annual event is the biggest council run fireworks show in the country and features a remarkable 30-minute pyrotechnics display timed to music.
The event will also include Heart West Midlands Radio, giant funfair, live entertainment, night market, food and beverages and large screens bringing the theme to life. Tickets can be booked at www.himleyhallandpark.co.uk.
Limited premium viewing area tickets are available with street entertainment, exclusive refreshment stalls including alcohol sales (which will not be sold in the wider park) and elevated views across the lake for fireworks display.
The event is being organised in association with local property business ‘Your Freedom Empire’. Other businesses, KS2 Security, Whittaker Brothers Limited, Halesowen College and Midtherm, are also supporting.
Councillor Phil Atkins, cabinet member for corporate strategy, said:
“I would like to thank our sponsors for supporting this incredible event, which has become a proud tradition for people in and around the borough.
“Simply put, Himley Fireworks has the best fireworks in the region and today I am reminding people that tickets are likely to sell out ahead of the event, so please book early to avoid disappointment.”
The council is offering a sensory room in the hall, which is designed to offer a quiet space to children with additional needs. This is a free of charge service for ticket holders, but it is subject to availability and must be booked in advance by emailing Himley.fireworks@dudley.gov.uk
Shuttle buses from Diamond and National Express are running across the borough for just £1 each way, payable by card only, with full information to be released closer to the event.
A limited park and ride service is available at Col's car boot sale field costing £8 per vehicle to be paid on the day by card only, with free shuttle buses running to the park. Spaces cannot be pre-booked and are on a first come, first served basis.
There is very limited car parking on site at Himley Hall at £10 per car on a first come-first served basis.
No bonfire is planned for this year’s event. Standard adult tickets start from £12, with tickets available from £7 for children aged five to 15. Further information about the event is available at the online frequently asked questions page.
