Firm donates to Mayoral charities
A construction firm has donated hundreds of pounds to the Mayor of Dudley’s chosen charities.
SWG Construction has been carrying out work in recent months to repair and refurbish Dudley Council House, a Grade II listed building, which was built in the 1930s.
The company has made a £400 donation as part of its commitment to support local communities.
The money will be used to support the Mayor’s charities, which are Santa’s Black Country Toy Appeal, Macmillan Cancer Support and Tough Enough to Care.
Mayor of Dudley, Mrs Sue Greenaway, said:
As my Mayoral year draws to a close, I’m delighted to accept this donation. Every penny received will boost the final funds for my charities, which are working hard to make a difference in our communities.
Shaun Humphries, construction director at SWG Construction, said:
Supporting the communities in the areas we are working has long been policy across the SWG Group. We are delighted to support the Mayor’s charities and contribute to these amazing charities who carry out fantastic work.
SWG Construction has also signed up to become a Mayoral Business Club member and will be supporting this year’s Armed Forces Day event at Himley Hall and Park.
