Former Dudley Mayor raises almost £40k
The previous Mayor of Dudley Councillor Hilary Bills has celebrated raising almost £40k for local charities during her Mayoral year.
The Halesowen councillor raised the money for her three chosen charities, Access in Dudley, Diabetes UK, and Friends of Dudley Performing Arts, during her time as Mayor of Dudley - May 2024 to May 2025.
Yesterday (18 September) Hilary was joined by representatives from the charities to formally present the donations and look back on her Mayoral year.
Councillor Hilary Bills, former Mayor of Dudley, said:
“I am so delighted to have raised a total of £39,941 for these three worthy charities and it is wonderful to meet with the people who dedicate their lives to the charities.
“A huge thank you must go to all the kind-hearted businesses, organisations and individuals who supported our fundraising endeavours during my Mayoral year.
“Dudley borough is blessed with the most charitable and generous people, and serving the communities as Mayor continues to be the honour of my lifetime.”
