Free art in the park session

A free art in the park family session will be held in a borough park later this month.

Dudley Council has teamed up with the Art Yard Gallery to offer a free art and craft day in Stevens Park, Quarry Bank on Sunday August 13 from 10am to 4pm.

During the day, there will be lots of different activities for people of all ages to take part in.

This includes sketching, photography, workshops and interactive art for children.

Plus, people can meet artists from the Art Yard Gallery and enjoy performances by local musicians.

The event has been organised with the support of Friends of Stevens Park and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, as part of the HLF Project at Stevens Park.

Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for highways and environmental services, said:

Stevens Park is a fantastic green space with lots of facilities and things to do.
With this event, we want to get more people to the park to not only enjoy the free activities on offer in the great outdoors, but also to see just how wonderful this park is.
There is no need to book, people can just turn up on the day and get creative.

Stevens Park and peace gardens has toilet facilities, a café and restaurant, plenty of outdoor seating and off-road parking from Thorns Road.
