Free products at borough libraries to assist with periods

Free period and incontinence products are available at three borough libraries.

Tampons, sanitary towels and incontinence products are available subject to availability for free on request at libraries in Brierley Hill, Dudley and Lye.

The libraries will only provide products for the person asking.

The pilot initiative is brought in partnership by Dudley Council’s public health team, Dudley Libraries and Periods Matter.

Councillor Ian Bevan, cabinet member for public health and wellbeing, said:

“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Dudley Libraries and Periods Matter on this very important scheme.

“It promotes period positivity and helps anyone in need, particularly those who may not be able to afford such products, to stay healthy and well.”
