Half term sessions for Whitsun
Youngsters in Dudley borough are being invited to join fun activities and entertainment in parks, leisure centres and halls this half term.
Dudley Council is offering an action-packed week, including free swimming at Duncan Edwards, Crystal and Halesowen leisure centres with details online at www.freeswimindudley.co.uk.
There will be a number of activities in leisure centres and Dell Stadium, including a water disco, disability and family swim sessions, table-tennis, badminton and £1 football with full details online at www.dbleisure.co.uk/school-holiday-activities.
Youngsters can enjoy live entertainment at Stourbridge Town Hall with Goldilocks and The Three Bears on Wednesday 31 May at 2pm, Richard Jones – An Evening of Magic on Thursday 1 June at 7.30pm, and family friendly entertainment Spinster of this Parish on Saturday 3 June at 6pm. There will be a family fun event at Netherton Park on Wednesday 31 May from 1 to 3pm with a hedgehog trail, hedgehog themed crafts, sport activities, games and the ever-popular sumo suits. There will also be an opportunity to find out about the council’s play area consultation.
Children aged four and above can take part in a dinosaur craft and trail at Dudley Museum at The Archives on Wednesday 31 May. The sessions, which run from 10.30am to noon and 12.30 to 2pm, cost £5 and should be booked online in advance at www.dudley.gov.uk/events/dinosaur-crafts-at-dudley-museum
The Red House Glass Cone will offer ‘Family Fusing: Beetles and Dragonflies’ on Tuesday 30 May, with one hour sessions at 10.30am, noon and 1.30pm. Children must be aged seven or over and pre-booking is essential www.dudley.gov.uk/events/family-fusing-beetles-and-dragonflies
