play area strategy

Last call on play area consultation

People who live in Dudley borough still have time to have their say on play areas in parks and open spaces.

Dudley Council is creating a new strategy, which will explore how the council invests and develops its play area provision.

The aim is to share resources across the borough, with a particular focus to be placed on areas of the borough that might not have as much choice in play equipment for young people.

It’s hoped parents and young people will take the opportunity to have their say on what they would like to see in borough parks, and where they would be most likely to access it.

The online survey, which closes on 9 June at www.dudley.gov.uk/playareastrategy, will also give community and residents groups and partner organisations the chance to engage.

Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for environment, said:

We are asking everyone who uses our parks to share their thoughts on play facilities by taking part in a short online survey.
The new play strategy will look at giving all our children and young people the opportunity to access play facilities in green spaces spread across the borough.
