
Last few days to secure tickets for Mayor’s Ball
People only have a few more days to snap up tickets for this year’s Mayor’s Ball and Civic Awards.
The prestigious event will be held at The Copthorne Hotel, Merry Hill on Friday April 25.
Tickets are on sale until Sunday (Apr 13) and can be bought at www.mayorofdudley.org.uk/balltickets.
The evening, hosted by the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Hilary Bills, will include a delicious dinner, live entertainment and DJ. Funds raised from the event and on the night will go to the first citizen’s chosen charities – Diabetes UK, Access in Dudley and Friends of Dudley Performing Arts.
Entertainment during the evening will include table games, a raffle and an auction. Prizes include a football signed by the only surviving member of England’s 1966 World Cup winning team, Sir Geoff Hurst. There will also be two Club Wembley tickets up for grabs to any concert or game of the winner’s choosing, including to the FA Cup Final.
During the evening, the borough’s unsung heroes will be recognised as the winners of the 22nd annual Mayor’s Civic Awards are announced.
Councillor Hilary Bills, Mayor of Dudley, said:
“This event is a wonderful opportunity to bring people from our communities and local businesses together.
“It is a celebration of those unsung heroes in our borough who go above and beyond to help others.
“We still have a few tickets left, but the sales window closes this Sunday so I would urge people to get in quickly to secure their seats and join us for a memorable and unforgettable evening.”
The event will open with a drinks reception at 6.45pm, followed by dinner at 7.30pm.
