Leader Live
The leader of the council will be in the hot seat when he takes questions from the public in a live video session next week.
People will be able to put their questions to Councillor Patrick Harley on Wednesday 21 May in the latest Leader Live session - via the council’s Dudley borough Facebook page.
He will be joined by deputy leader of the council, Councillor Paul Bradley, and people will be able to put any questions to the pair – from securing leisure service provision, to improvements to Dudley Market Place, to the submission of the Dudley Local Plan.
The Leader Live sessions have been running since 2018 and give people the chance to raise issues that matter to them. Questions should be posted on the council’s facebook page @dudleyborough from 6pm on Wednesday 21 May. The session runs until 7pm. Both senior politicians will be answering all questions in a live video which is then made available to view on the page permanently.
Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said:
“One of the seven themes of our one year council plan is community engagement. It’s essential that we listen to our residents and prioritise services based on that engagement.
“The leader live sessions are a useful way for us to find out what is important to people and how we can help them to improve their communities.
“It’s very easy – people just need to add their questions to the Facebook page and I’ll do my best to answer them.”
