Learn about lace in Cradley Library

The Lace Guild will be giving a demonstration on lace making at Cradley Library in Halesowen on 6 November at 11am.

Based in Stourbridge, The Lace Guild is the UK’s largest lace organisation.

The event will include a talk about how lace is made, the history of the craft and a practical demonstration.

Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the not-for-profit social enterprise that runs Cradley Library on behalf of Dudley Council.

“Lacemaking is a traditional craft form that has stood the test of time,” said Sandra Francis, GLL Library Manager.

“The event at Cradley is a wonderful opportunity to see lacemaking in action and hear about the different techniques involved.

“We’re very fortunate to have the Lace Guild headquarters relatively nearby and look forward to a fascinating exploration of their creative expertise here at Cradley on 6 November.

“Booking is essential.”
