There is no need for children to be bored this school holiday with activities and sessions on offer in leisure centres, visitor attractions, parks, halls and libraries.

Dudley borough is packed with great days out — from Dudley Zoo & Castle and the Black Country Living Museum, to canals, parks and more. People can find out more about visitor attractions and things to do in Dudley at the Discover Dudley website.  

Children who live in Dudley borough can benefit from free swimming at Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre in Dudley, Crystal Leisure Centre in Stourbridge and Halesowen Leisure Centre. Terms and conditions apply and people must be registered in advance. https://www.freeswimindudley.co.uk

Priory Fest will take place at Priory Park on Friday 29 May, 10am to 4pm. The free family event includes inflatables, pony rides, stalls, food vendors, family activities, open mic and history tours. 

Park Active sessions are taking place in selected Dudley borough parks. The 45-minute activities are led by a qualified volunteer and gives people of all fitness levels the opportunity to be active outdoors

There will be a free family trail to celebrate World Bee Day at The Red House Glass Cone throughout the week. Families can also enjoy seaside crafts session on Tuesday 26 May and family fusing on Thursday 28 May with full details on the cone’s Ticketsource page

At Dudley Museum at the Archives families can enjoy a free family trail of ‘Older or Younger than the dinosaurs’, with dinosaur crafts also taking place on Wednesday 27 May. There is no need to prebook, Families can just turn up and enjoy.

The UK’s No.1 outdoor cinema shows are coming to Himley Hall and Park with popular films including Mama Mia, Sing, Dirty Dancing, Jurassic Park and Bing and Friends on offer. People can find out more online 

Libraries across Dudley borough are offering hands‑on activities, crafts and challenges to keep young minds inspired throughout the school holidays. Activities include Lego, crafting, storytelling, games and themed workshops. For more information visit the GLL Facebook page.

Dudley borough’s town halls will host live shows packed with music, laughter and adventure. Shows include ‘The Utterly Revolting Science Show’ at Stourbridge Town Hall on Friday 29 May, ‘The Music of John Williams vs Hans Zimmer’ at Dudley Town Hall on Friday 29 May and ‘Sweet and Sour - The Ultimate Tribute to Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo’ at Dudley Town Hall on Saturday 30 May.

Tickets are also now on sale for Under 5s Day at Himley Hall and Park on 26 June, with Peppa Pig making guest appearances and young children invited to enjoy a range of activities. https://www.himleyhallandpark.co.uk/under5s
