New jobs up for grabs at council recruitment event

A number of casual roles with Dudley Council are up for grabs at a recruitment event this week.

The event will take place at Dudley Town Hall on Thursday afternoon, running from 1pm until 6.30pm.

There will be a wide range of casual jobs on offer at the event, such as stewards and technicians for shows at the Dudley borough halls, bar staff to cover events and catering assistants in schools during term time.

Other vacancies include cleaners, gym instructors, receptionists and sports coaches.

DB Leisure, the new name for Dudley borough leisure centres, will also be attending the event to showcase career and apprenticeship opportunities. Full training for these positions is available if applicants pass a swim test.

Kevin O'Keefe, chief executive of Dudley Council, said:

This event will help people who want to work with us to meet the team and get more information about the jobs on offer with the council.
There are a variety of different roles available and I’m sure people will find something to suit them. If you’re looking for casual work, then I would certainly recommend coming along.

People who are attending are asked to bring along their CV and the details of two referees to minimise delays in processing their applications.

Places at the event can be booked by calling 01384 818143.

More information on the event is available at dudley.gov.uk/jobs-and-careers/casual-recruitment-event, along with job descriptions and person specifications for the available roles.
