New tenants at the Red House Glass Cone

There will be even more to see at the Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley, as the 230-year-old heritage attraction is set to welcome a host of new tenants to its craft and office studio spaces.

The craft studios spaces are built around the ethos of seeing craft in action - watching it being made, having the opportunity to purchase it and trying it yourself.

A potter, taxidermist, wood turner and gin school are set join long-standing tenants Glass Quarter Designs, Tandem Crafts, Blowfish Glass, Elliot Walker Glass Sculpture, I Luv Pebbles, and Glen Callum Associates.

The café, Heavenly Baking at the Cone, which officially opened in October 2025, has already become a welcome and vibrant part of the site.

Also taking up residence at the Cone, in the office studios, is Alikease Holistic & Wellbeing Therapies, Beauty by DuMont, and Martin Griffiths of MG Training and Events Ltd.

Martin offers a wide range of accredited training in first aid as well as medical cover for events of all sizes.  He has very kindly donated a defibrillator and bleed kit for use on-site at the Cone.

Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for neighbourhoods said:

“I am delighted that these new businesses will be joining the Cone, bringing fresh energy that will further enhance the visitor experience.

“Martin’s donation of a defibrillator and bleed kit is incredibly generous and we are truly grateful. These are welcome additions to our existing first aid provision on site.”
