Online winter health advice for older people
A series of online information and networking sessions are running for older people and anyone who supports them as Dudley borough prepares for winter.
Dudley Council has teamed up with Healthwatch Dudley for the digital events next month.
They aim to support older people or those who support them with the latest help and advice as the winter draws in.
There are three sessions which are ‘looking after yourself’ and takes place on December 7, from 1.30pm - 3pm. There will be one on ‘staying safe and well at home’ which runs on December 9 from 5 - 6.30pm. The final one takes place on December 11 and is about ‘Supporting Local Communities Through Covid-19’ and runs from 10-11.30am.
Councillor Nicolas Barlow, cabinet member for health and adult social care, said:
This is another example of the vital work we are doing to help, not only older people, but those who support them as well. The winter brings added difficulties to the ones we are all facing with coronavirus, and we want to make sure people have access to all the help and support they need to keep themselves safe and well.
The session will be held via Zoom and people need to book via Eventbrite.
