Paying tribute to Her Majesty the Queen
Books of condolence will be available for residents to pay written tributes to Her Majesty the Queen following her death yesterday (September 8).
Dudley Council has confirmed books of condolence will be available in Dudley Council House, St Thomas and St Luke’s in Dudley (Top Church), all borough libraries and Dudley Archives from today.

For anyone who would like to leave a floral tribute, it is recommended they lay them at Coronation Gardens in Dudley, Mary Stevens Park in Stourbridge, Silver Jubilee Park in Coseley, Stevens Park in Quarry Bank and Somer Square in Halesowen.
Flags are currently flying at half-mast as a mark of respect to the Monarch.
Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said:
We are a nation in mourning and our thoughts remain with His Majesty the King and all of the Royal family following the sad passing of Her Majesty the Queen.
We understand people will want to pay their respects locally during this time of great sadness for our country.
Books of condolence are available for people to pay tribute and people are welcome to lay floral tributes at sites across the borough.
Councillor Qadar Zada, leader of the opposition in Dudley, said:
Her Majesty carried out 70 years of public service with dedication, grace and dignity for which we are grateful. Thank you for a life of service.
We wish the King and Queen Consort strength and courage over the challenging days ahead.
We wish our constituents comfort from fond memories of her reign, most recently the Platinum Jubilee.
