Planet Play parties at Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre

The soft play area is suitable for toddlers through to children under the age of 11 (max height 148cm). The toddler area has been designed specifically for the under 3s, with equipment which are both stimulating and safe and tailored to meet the requirements of our youngest visitors.

For the over 3s the three-tiered soft play section is filled with state of the art equipment boasting slides crawl tubes, rope bridges, balance beams, cargo nets, and a large wavy slide.

Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:

The new Planet Play is tremendous fun for children and their families and we’ve seen a lot of interest in the open play sessions.

We’re really glad that we are now able to expand our offer and provide Planet Play Parties. We provide the venue, the staffing and food. All families need to do is turn up and have fun.

Party times fit around the regular play times. Slots are available on Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm and 3pm and include one hour play and 45 minutes to eat in the party room. Places cost £15 per head (minimum 15 children and a maximum of 30). This includes food and drink for every child.

A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a party and a terms and conditions of hire form must be completed when booking.

Party numbers and food choices must be confirmed no later than 10 days before the party date. The remaining balance must be paid on the party date.
