Residents invited to community meetings
Residents can find out what is happening in their area at public community meetings being held across the borough this month.
Dudley Council will host the ‘your home, your forum’ meetings throughout June.
The forums all start at 6.30pm and are informal, giving people the opportunity to have their say and discuss what is good about their local area and what can be made better.
Local councillors and a police representative will also be there for residents to talk to.
In Halesowen, on June 9, people living in Belle Vale, Hayley Green, Halesowen, Cradley and Wollescote are invited to a meeting at Halesowen Town Hall on Hagley Road.
The Dudley Central meeting will be held on June 16 at DY1 on Stafford Street.
People living in Castle and Priory, St James’s, St Thomas’s, Netherton and Holly Hall, Quarry Bank and Dudley Wood are welcome to attend.
The Brierley Hill meeting – for people living in Brierley Hill, Brockmoor, Pensnett, Wall Heath, Kingswinford and Wordsley - will be held on June 18 at Brockmoor Primary School, Belle Isle, Brierley Hill.
The Dudley North meeting – for anyone living in Coseley, Sedgley, Gornal, Upper Gornal and Woodsetton - will be held on June 23 at the Royal British Legion in Ruiton Street, Lower Gornal.
On June 30, people in Amblecote, Lye, Stourbridge North, Norton, Pedmore, Stourbridge East, Wollaston and Stourbridge Town can go to Stourbridge Town Hall in the Crown Centre.
Councillor Paul Bradley, deputy leader of the council, said:
“As councillors and as a council, it’s really important we get to know our residents and learn more about the issues and ideas at the heart of our communities.
“We would love to see as many people at the meetings as possible.”
Although not essential, people may register their attendance in advance via https://www.dudley.gov.uk/council-community/your-home-your-forum/
