Residents invited to join energy switching scheme
Dudley borough residents are being invited to sign up to a collective energy switching scheme which could help them to save hundreds of pounds on their bills.
Working in partnership with Dudley Council, Big Community Switch provides guidance and support to residents to simplify the energy-switching process.
The scheme secures competitive tariffs with trusted suppliers, giving residents more control over costs.
Suppliers compete for the opportunity to offer households the lowest energy tariff, and there’s no need to compare different tariffs as everyone registered receives a personal offer. The Big Community Switch is simple, hassle-free and comes with no obligation to switch providers.
Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our borough residents to explore better energy options and potentially save money on their bills.
“It’s a simple, stress-free process and there’s no obligation to switch so it’s worth registering to see if you could make a saving.”

The auction opens on Monday 23 February and runs until 5pm on 30 March, with the auction taking place on 31 March.
Residents will need to have their current tariff details and fuel usage (shown on their most recent bill) to hand, when registering.
Anyone who is in debt with their energy bills is advised to speak to the council’s energy advice line before registering to switch. They can be contacted on 01384 817086.
