Mayor visits Richardsons business

Richardson donation to Mayor of Dudley

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor David Stanley, made a visit to Richardson HQ yesterday on his penultimate day in post.

He joined representatives from the Armed Forces to pay tribute to Roy Richardson and his family for the support they have shown to the military over many years. They recognised the family’s personal history and association with the Armed Forces and their generosity towards units across all services in the West Midlands and beyond.

Roy Richardson presented the Mayor with a £500 donation towards his chosen charities; the Black Country Food Bank, St. Johns Ambulance, Dudley and Victim Support, Dudley.

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor David Stanley, said:

I was delighted to be invited alongside representatives of the Armed Forces to pay tribute to Roy Richardson and to listen to Roy being congratulated by all branches of the services for his generous support to them over a long period of time.
My connection to Roy and his family goes back many years and I can’t thank him enough, on behalf of the people of Dudley, for the Richardson Brothers Foundation’s very kind contribution to the Mayor’s charities.”

Councillor David Stanley ends his term as Mayor of Dudley this evening. Due to the pandemic, he has served for two consecutive years.
