Share your views on the future of Brierley Hill

People are being invited to discuss the long-term future of Brierley Hill as part of a seven-week consultation.

Dudley Council is hosting a series of in-person and virtual meetings for people to share their views on planning and development in Brierley Hill as part of the consultation, which runs until February 28.

The in-person discussions will be held at the indoor market in Brierley Hill High Street, on Thursday 17 February, from 10am to 4pm, and outside Asda in the Merry Hill Centre on Friday 18 February, from 10am to 4pm.

A virtual question and answer session will take place on Monday 21 February at 4pm.

The meetings will be held as part of a consultation on the new Brierley Hill Plan, as a review of the existing Area Action Plan, which will provide direction for the future growth and regeneration of the area.

Topics for discussion include potential revisions to the plan boundary, which areas could be suitable for new housing development and which areas could be the focus of new tree planting and other landscape improvements.

Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:

Getting out into the community and having conversations with people in Brierley Hill is a vital part of our consultation. I encourage residents, business owners, workers and community groups to come along to these meetings and help us to produce a plan that benefits everyone.
