Sign up now to get the most out of the council’s garden waste service
As the new green garden waste service launches for this year, Dudley borough residents are being reminded to renew or sign up if they want their garden waste collected.
The 2026/2027 household garden waste collections started this week and will run until 31 March 2027, only pausing for two weeks over the festive and New Year period.
New and existing customers are advised that to get the best value out of the service, now is the best time to sign up. The service cost is £52 regardless of what time you subscribe, making the beginning of April the most cost-effective time to join.
This ensures residents receive their full amount of collections for their £52 subscription.
The price for fortnightly green bin pick-ups has been frozen at £52. Neighbours are also able to opt to share a bin, which will only be charged to one resident and collected from that property.
Residents can subscribe online via MyDudley or by calling Dudley Council Plus on 0300 555 2345.
Households choosing not to opt in will not receive garden waste collections.
Nick Mcgurk – Group Director, Communities and Growth said:
“Garden waste subscriptions have seen a big sign-up increase compared to last year. I’m positive being able to freeze the cost at just £52 per year has contributed towards more residents then ever taking advantage of the green garden bin collection service we offer.”
