Start-up street market comes to Halesowen this Saturday
Start-ups and small businesses from Dudley borough will be showcasing their goods at a street market in Halesowen town centre this Saturday.
The free event will take place on Saturday 25 March from 9am to 3pm.
Around 50 traders are expected to attend, selling a wide range of products including gifts, crafts, hot food and produce.
The street market has been organised by Bescot Markets in association with Dudley Council and Halesowen BID.
A small number of stalls at the start-up market are still available for businesses to hire free of charge. Traders who are interested should email info@bescotpromotions.co.uk to apply.
Vicky Rogers, manager at Halesowen BID, said:
Halesowen BID is excited to give local entrepreneurs an opportunity to put their products in the spotlight at our start-up market.
We want to help local businesses in any way that we can, especially start-ups that are entering a challenging economic climate.
Along with our advice, guidance and workshops, staging events like the street market helps these businesses to fulfil their potential.
Councillor David Stanley, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:
The traders at the street market are all local businesses looking to make a name for themselves and build a solid base of customers.
Support from residents is absolutely key to the growth of our small traders. I hope people in the borough will come along to the market, enjoy the day and pick up some unique products that they might not find on the High Street.
Dudley Business First, the business arm of Dudley Council, is sponsoring the event. They offer year-round support to businesses on grants, accessing finance and much more.
The council’s business bulletin also includes useful information on events, funding, and support in Dudley borough and beyond.
