Support sessions for carers

Carers across the Dudley borough are being invited to a series of information sessions this week.

Dudley Council has organised the sessions as part of Carers Rights Day on Thursday November 25.

People who attend the events will be able to find out about their rights as a carer, financial support and entitlements, including respite care.

They take place at Brett Young Carers Hub, Old Hawne Lane, Halesowen, from 10.30-noon for English speaking people. There will also be a session for Urdu speakers from 12.30-2pm and a virtual session via Zoom from 1.30-3pm.

Councillor Nicolas Barlow, cabinet member for health and adult social care, said:

These sessions are essential for anyone who is a carer and wants to find out more about rights and support that is available to them. I urge people to book their place to find out more.”
