Vaccine van in Coseley

Anyone aged 18 and over can grab a jab at the covid vaccine van when it visits Coseley this week.

The van will be at Coseley Library car park on School Street on Thursday and Friday from 11am to 7pm and Saturday from 9.30am to 5.30pm.

No appointment is needed, people can just turn up, and they don’t have to be registered with a GP.

The van is offering first and second dose vaccines – there has to be a minimum of eight weeks between the two doses.

There will also be qualified health professionals on hand to answer any questions.

Councillor Nicolas Barlow, cabinet member for health and adult social care, said:

“I really would encourage anyone who is not already vaccinated, or is due for their second vaccine, to pop along to the van when it visits Coseley. No appointment is needed so it’s easy to go at a time which suits you best.
The more of us who have the vaccine, the safer we are as a community.”

For the full list of venues and times where people can get vaccinated visit www.blackcountryandwestbirmccg.nhs.uk/your-health-services/health-advice/covid-19-vaccination Details will include if the venue is offering the Pfizer or Astrazeneca vaccine.

Anyone displaying covid-19 symptoms should isolate and seek a test. Anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 should follow NHS guidance and should not have their vaccine until 28 days after testing positive.

People can also book their vaccine in a number of locations across the borough by going online at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.
