‘Vision of Another Life' book launch
Local author Michael Braccia, from Stourbridge, will be launching his new novel ‘Vision of Another Life’ at Dudley Library on 8 April at 7pm.
The book is a paranormal mystery and marks Michael’s debut as a contemporary fiction author. As a passionate reader himself, Michael has always wanted to write but full-time work as an IT consultant and caring for a son with severe autism left little time to realise his ambition.
That all changed when Michael took early retirement in 2015 to write his semi-autobiography ‘Could it be That Way’. He has followed that with ‘Vision of Another Life’ -a fictional tale of an ordinary family falling into the realm of the supernatural.
“We’re really looking forward to hearing Michael talk about his book and what inspired it,” said librarian Claire Williams.
“Entrance is free, refreshments are available, and Michael will be signing copies of the novel. Please call the library to book a place.”
Operating under the Better brand, Dudley Library is run by not-for-profit social enterprise GLL on behalf of the council.
“Our libraries are community hubs that bring people of all ages together for a range of free activities – including author talks,” said Stephanie Rhoden, Dudley Libraries Partnership Manager.
“We’re delighted to welcome Michael Braccia and wish him every success with his book.”
