Welcome back to Brierley Hill
The Moor Centre in Brierley Hill is hosting a welcome back event on Saturday 19 March.
The multicultural event will feature cookery demonstrations, live entertainment and broadcasts from Black Country Radio, who are organising the day.
The day is part of the Welcome Back campaign to encourage people back into town centres and support local businesses as the country emerges from the pandemic.
The event runs from 10am-3pm and is free to attend.
Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:
These events are a positive, practical way for people to show their support for our town centres.
This is the third event co-ordinated by Black Country Radio and is a multicultural event with cookery demonstration and live entertainment. The final mothers’ day event will be held in Halesowen on 26 March and I hope local people will visit their town centre to take part, have fun and show their support for local businesses
The community radio station has organised a number of events in town centres across the borough including a multicultural event in Lye High Street on March 12. There will be a Mother’s Day event in Halesowen on March 26. All events run from 10am to 3pm.
The Welcome Back Fund is providing councils across England a share of £56 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support the safe return to high streets and help build back better from the pandemic.
